Security Systems are used primarily to help secure a property and allow the owner to be notified immediately upon a breach. However, systems can also monitor environment issues like flood, heat, low temperature, smoke detection, and carbon monoxide, to name a few. Perimeter property protection, hold up/emergency alarms, and fire alarms can also be monitored with your security system. We use both DSC and GE (General Electric) systems, as we feel they are the leaders in the industry. 
Many systems are now using wireless technology, making installations and placement of devices much easier and more effective. While hard wired systems are still used in most commercial applications, the wireless technology allows for easier installations in existing residential homes. In the event of an alarm, today's systems are very user friendly and provide the customer with excellent information from the monitoring station. Systems are monitored 24 hours a day by a ULC Listed Monitoring Station via phone lines, internet connection or by a cellular backup module. Red Deer Lock & Safe Ltd. uses Consolidated Monitoring Ltd. (CML), as they are a ULC Certified Station and are an Alberta company based in Edmonton.
Access Control and Card Access Systems add a very powerful element to any high traffic or sensitive area. This system shows a record of who entered and when they entered. It can be used to control the time a person can enter, how long their credentials are valid, and which areas can be accessed. Also, this system shows when someone tries to access an area they do not have authorization for. The software is very user friendly and can even be used for time and attendance purposes. Video Surveillance or CCTV, as it is commonly referred to, is a great addition to any security or card access system. Video surveillance can be used to verify who is at a point of entry, or what vehicle is at an entrance. It can be used with a security system to verify an alarm. Todays systems are incredibly easy to use and can be viewed over a secure internet connection to verify an event or alarm while it is happening. They can be used to track parts counters, manufacturing plants, pick up/drop off points and to verify who picked something up or where a specific product is in the production line. Cameras and corresponding DVR’s (Digital Video Recorders) can be customized for the customer's use. From vandal proof color dome cameras to pan/tilt zoom (PTZ), low light, night vision or many other specialized cameras, we can meet our customer's requirements.
